
The specialist services involved the study of railway operation, with reference to circulation and the electrical power supply scheme and related sizing, which was developed through 5 activities briefly described below.
- Verification of line operation
Simulation of circulation on the line and related line travel diagrams (and therefore operating program) of the extension based on the hypothesis of a new route (plano-altimetric profile and schematic plan) and verification of the current theoretical minimum cadence on the existing line.
- Verification of terminal and depot layout
Study of possible alternative configurations to improve the proposed terminus, consisting of a reversal terminal and depot;
- Terminal reversal check
Simulation of the extension operation based on the route hypothesis (plano-altimetric profile and schematic plan) and the preliminary and optimal solution identified for the terminus (terminal and depot), which guarantee the current theoretical minimum cadence on the existing line.
- Gauge check
Check of the kinematic gauge, limit and maximum lateral deviations for critical sections according to the UNI 7360:2010 Metropolitan standards “Kinematic gauge and limit gauge of rolling stock – Minimum profile of obstacles and spacing between tracks” and UNI 7361:2010 Metropolitan standards “Maximum lateral deviations of rolling stock in motion”;
- Electrical power supply check and sizing
Definition of the electrical power supply scheme (ac and dc) and related sizing, based on the route variant and the operating program; electrical simulation; power supply system and management of power supply configurations; MT cable sizing (AC/DC), 20 kV SSE line backbones, MT/LV cabin line; electrical protection system, medium voltage (MT) filtering system, electromagnetic compatibility, earthing systems and stray current monitoring; 20 kV general power supply scheme; SSE Rebibbia intervention phasing; New SSE Rebibbia MT single-line AC electrical scheme; new SSE Rebibbia MT single-line DC electrical scheme; SSE Rebibbia equipment positioning layout; SSE Rebibbia metric calculation; rigid contact line metric calculation; contact line; TE power supply scheme; TE earthing and protection circuits; rigid contact line electrification plan.
