
The data acquisition campaign, provided in ASCII format, was carried out by recording the following quantities:
accelerations in the front axle axle box of the motor carriage;
accelerations on the frame above the axle box;
accelerations in the body;
accelerations of the gearmotor unit;
accelerations on the antenna support;
axial stresses on the body-carriage traction rods;
axial stresses on the reduction gear rods;
vertical stresses on the motor support;
deformation states in various points of the structure of the carriage frame and the body.
The activities of the data acquisition contract included the following phases:
design of the measurement system:
accelerometric, strain gauge and auxiliary measurement chains (speed, train position);
arrangement and fixing of transducers and wiring, conditioners, terminal instruments;
material procurement and mechanical processing of supports;
setup of measurement chains, tests and calibration in the laboratory;
installation of the measurement chains on board the train;
test run in the depot;
on-line measurements at tare and at full load.
