  • SIGA2

At the recently held SIGA2 conference at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, a scientific paper was presented by DITS in collaboration with Sapienza University on the topic “Container Fire Accidents and Incidents on Container Ships: Global Practices and Trends.”.

  • Presentation of a Publication about update

The paper once again addressed the issue of safety on container ships and at terminals, and emphasized the need for innovative systems and methods for fire prevention and mitigation, one of which is currently being developed within the framework of the OVERHEAT project.

Positive results from preliminary system functionality tests were presented, highlighting the high efficiency of the system even at this early stage of testing.

As a result, both the presentation and the project received considerable feedback and interest, underlining their significance.
